So I finally started it - the next Klonnie story
(to say that the past few TVDs have kicked my muse in nads is an understatement).
Opening scene done, and I wanted to share a little because it’s Bamon and Fun!Bamon too, not the kind that makes you want to set something on fire. We need some fun!

Stefan returns with more shots and sets a rather large cocktail in front of her. She glances up with a grateful expression on her face. She has worked her way through half of it before Damon leans in. “Regretting coming?” She pointedly ignores him. “You put on a good act, Bennett, but I can tell you’re uncomfortable.”
Bonnie groans. She’s the only female in here not dispensing drinks or ripping her clothes off – of course she’s uncomfortable. But she’s still here and therefore wants some damn credit for it! She turns in her seat and faces Damon head on. He is toying with an empty shot glass with the same damn grin on his face that he always has when he is trying to get under her skin. He leans in for the kill. “You are probably just jealous because you don’t have half the talent those women have…”
She makes a face, more than prepared to tell him that she does just fine without that particular talent thank you very much. But before she can even open her mouth, her best friend, her brother in spirit, opens his mouth. “Bullshit, Damon, she can strip like the best of ‘em…”
Damon sits up straight.
Stefan raises an eyebrow.
Bonnie groans.
Poor clueless Matt has no idea the territory he has just wandered into. “Course she didn’t have any music, but I think I had to get her bra out of the ceiling fan after we were done…”
Damon lights up as if he has just hit the jackpot. “You two?” He begins, flipping his fingers back and forth between the drunken Matt and the mortified Bonnie. “Oh this is perfect. And it makes so much sense…”
“Do you feel a headache coming on, Damon?” Bonnie asked. She has clutched her glass so tightly between her hands that she is surprised it hasn’t cracked yet.
He leans forward a little. “Not in public, dear.” He ends with a little pat on the arm and she does hear a crack now. She eases up on the pressure.
(And yes, this is a Klonnie story, and a follow up to Like the Sacrificial Lamb You Are and There are consequences to doing the right thing)
*crosses fingers that the completed work sees the light of day!
